アシスト比率が道路交通法で定められた規定の1：2を上回る可能性のあることが判明 備考: ■無償交換のお知らせ ・アイジュサイクルにて販売した電動アシスト自転車「PASSEPIED(パスピエ)」の一部製品において、特定期間における制御ユニット部品の取付け間違いにより、アシスト比率が道路交通法で定められた規定の1：2を上回る可能性のあることが判明しました。 ■不具合内容 ・道路交通法により電動アシスト自転車のアシスト比率は1（踏力）：2（アシスト力）以下と規定されていますが、それ以上のアシストが発生する。 ■不具合原因 ・対象製品は製造メーカーにて50台のみ在庫をしていた最終ロット品で、組み立てる際に製造工場にて誤って日本仕様ではないヨーロッパ向けの制御ユニットを取り付けて販売した。

It was found that the assist ratio may exceed the 1:2 laid down in the Road Traffic Act (道路交通法). Notes: ■ Notice of free exchange ・In some of the electrically power-assisted bicycles 「PASSEPIED(パスピエ)」 sold through アイジュサイクル, a control-unit part was fitted wrongly during a particular period, and it was found that the assist ratio may exceed the 1:2 laid down in the Road Traffic Act. ■ The defect ・The Road Traffic Act limits the assist ratio of an electrically power-assisted bicycle to 1 (pedalling force) : 2 (assist force) or less, but more assist than that is produced. ■ Cause of the defect ・The affected products were a final lot of which the maker held only 50 in stock, and when they were assembled at the factory a European-specification control unit, not the Japanese-specification one, was fitted by mistake and the bicycles were sold.

そのまま公道を走行しますと、道路交通法規上違反になり、また事故につながる場合も御座いますので、対象製品をご使用中のお客様にはご使用を控えていただき、至急上記問い合わせ先までご連絡くださいます様お願いいたします。 対象となる以下の製品に対しましては、事故防止のため無料にて制御ユニットの交換をさせて頂きます。 ※弊社にて確認ができる該当のお客様には、郵便にて「制御ユニットに関するお詫びとお知らせ」のご案内を差し上げております。お手元に届いたお客様は、お手数にはなりますがご一読いただきまして弊社宛にご連絡いただけますよう宜しくお願い申し上げます。

Riding on public roads as it is breaks the road traffic laws and may also lead to an accident, so customers using an affected product are asked to stop using it and to contact the enquiry desk above urgently. To prevent accidents, the control unit of the affected products below is exchanged free of charge. ※ Customers the company can identify have been sent a letter, "Apology and notice concerning the control unit" (制御ユニットに関するお詫びとお知らせ). Customers who have received it are asked to read it and contact the company.
